Ivy League Standings
IVY follows a NRDS (Not Red, Dont Shoot) policy in Empire and 0.0 space, for full details of our Rules of Engagement, please see our policies.
Ivy League defines a 'Non-Aggression Pact' as the agreement to avoid hostilities if at all possible. This
does not mean that joint operations are allowed, or that IVY supports any actions of the party which has
the standing set. This allows us to retain neutrality by not getting involved in problems between third
parties, and means we are able to retain Non-Aggression Pacts with multiple groups who may be hostile to
each other.
Standing Levels
As well as the default neutral standings, Ivy maintains four levels of standings with third parties:
- Friends of the Alliance(+10) - Members of this group have shown repeated long term support of IVY on a corp or Alliance level. This does not however mean that IVY support actions taken by these pilots involving third parties.
- Non-Aggression Pact (+5) - This group has shown support for the Alliance, and agreed to avoid hostilities when possible, and seek a diplomatic solution to any issues.
- Hostile to the Alliance(-5) - Members of this group have attacked IVY members on multiple occasions. This may be due to actions such as piracy or hostile acts in empire space.
- Enemy of the Alliance (-10) - Groups with this status have committed overtly hostile acts on a Corp or Alliance level, such as repeated unprovoked attacks on IVY pilots, or declaring empire war.
Negative standings (Hostile and Enemy) are set on a reactive basis, and are primarily used to identify threats for IVY pilots.
Open NAP
IVY has an 'Open NAP policy', whereby any group can request a Non-Aggression Pact with IVY, regardless of their history toward the alliance and any standings they may currently have set. The IVY Diplomatic team does of course reserve the right to deny changes or make adjustments on a probationary basis where necessary.
